[You're it, You're the ultimate you]
I brought my mom to the same Japanese restaurant today. I told her it wasn't halal but i'm dead sure they cook every sort of dish on a separate stove cos the place has like so many tiny stalls with individual stoves. So just to be safe we settled for seafood, like I did the time before. Not forgetting sushi! My mom wanted to act xcore so I bought her a maki of spicy tuna with a side of 3 spoons of wasabi. It went something like this -

Me: You have to finish your wasabi!
Mom: Is that the spicy hot saucy thing?
Me: Something like that. So are you game?!
Mom: Yeah yeah. I am Queen of Spicy.
Me: Right.
Mom: Oh, you wouldn't really notice that right? You don't eat at home anymore.
Me: O: MA! I'm working! Till late! No fair!
Mom: Excuses. You resort to Old Chang Kee's nasi lemak. Waste money.
Me: Mmmhmm. Ma, are you game or not?!
Mom: Okok.
So she slabs on like a whole lot of wasabi on one tiny piece of sushi.
Mom: The tuna's good.
ChewChewChew.
Chewing stops.
She started fanning her nose.
I started dying of laughter. Actually, I was having a giggling fit. Her face was priceless. She drank water & it became worse. AHHAHAHAHA. I know, I'm such a rascal. But srsly, the thing about wasabi is, it isn't spicy, it just burns in the nose! The burning gets worse if you take in anything liquid. Hahahahha. I still can't erase that scene. I took care of the bill (cheyy) & then we trotted to Arab Street. & I srsly mean we walked. I didn't think my mom would stand to wallk that far. i did think of getting a trishaw but oh you know, there wasn't any in sight & even if there was one, we wouldn't go anywhere. HAHAHAHA.

We went to Haji Lane first to look at some of my Mom's kinda clothes then to the thrift store nearby to get some outerwear for me. I scored a vest. Then I saw all the Haji Lane wannabe kids hanging there in their school unis, grossed me out. So we went over to Arab Street to look at fabrics. I was thinking, I should start making my own clothes to wear to school. I can't possibly afford to buy ALL my clothes. It's just too much. At the same time, I don't want to have to repeat my clothes. Yeah, I know. Everyone'll go OMGSHIDA, AYFS?! Who woulda thunk I could be shallow uh?
Anyway, we bookmarked a couple of stores with nice fabrics (both nice & for practical use) & walked to the bus stop to pick my brother up.

BUT. After sitting in the bus for one stop, my mom realised that her core wallet was missing. I knew the wallet was safe though cos my heart didn't thump any harder than usual. There's another priceless face from my Mom! So we walked, retraced steps & stores all the way back to the thrift store at Haji Lane. It was there, the owner of the store found it on the floor. See. My heart tells me the rigth things. Haha. Then we walked all the way to the same bus stop again & took the bus to school. This time, fo real. I met the brother then took the bus to Bedok to pass Clost the blazer she wanted to borrow then I went home.

It's an eventful day without even having the slightest bit of planning! I miss my Mom & I got to spend the day with her AGAIN. That's twice this month! YAY! ok I should stop being such a baby.
